Keeping FLY8HT up to date

FLY8HT checks for a newer version shortly after launch, and again every few hours while it’s open, quietly in the background.

What happens when one’s found

A new version downloads automatically, so it’s already sitting ready by the time you notice. A small, persistent prompt then appears in the corner of the app: Restart Now installs it immediately; Later dismisses it for now (it’ll reappear next launch if you haven’t updated yet). Nothing installs without you clicking Restart, and FLY8HT never replaces itself silently while you’re working.

Checking manually

Settings → General → Check for Updates runs the same real check on demand, and shows the result (up to date, downloading, or a real error message) right under the button.

Where updates come from

Every real release is published as a signed installer for macOS, Windows, and Linux. If a check ever fails, it’s usually a network issue. Try again in a moment, or download the latest version directly from the download page.
