Live preview and git, in one place

The Development tab, inside a project, is where you actually work on something, not just run it once.

The dev server

A real, separate mode from the production build/start pipeline. It runs your project’s own dev script (hot-reloading and all), never a production build. Once it’s running, a best-effort “Updated Xs ago” line appears whenever FLY8HT recognizes a real hot-reload event in the tool’s own output.

A real embedded live preview

Below the dev server controls, FLY8HT embeds your actual running application in a real browser view, not a screenshot or an iframe standing in for one. Click around inside it exactly like you would in a normal browser tab.

The working tree

For a project that’s a real git repository, this section shows your current branch, how far ahead/behind you are from the remote, and every changed file with its real status (modified, added, deleted, and so on).

• Commit: write a message and commit everything changed.
• Stash: set changes aside without committing them.
• Pull: fetches the latest changes, but refuses outright (never force-overwrites) if you have uncommitted changes in the way, or if a pull would cause a real merge conflict. You always get an honest, explicit choice instead of a silent loss of work.
• Switch branch: a real branch list, with the option to create a new one.

Dependencies changed

If package.json or a lockfile changes while the dev server is running (you pulled a branch that added a dependency, say), a banner tells you to install and restart. FLY8HT never runs an install automatically on your behalf.
