MilestoneA product-first website and a real Help Center
The website now shows the app itself, and every common question has a dedicated Help article.
- Interactive, in-browser recreations of Detection, Build Progress, the project workspace and the Editor.
- A searchable Help Center covering importing, builds, manual configuration, Docker, environment variables and troubleshooting.
- A full legal hub: terms, privacy, cookies, security, acceptable use and more.

v0.2.1Auto-update that actually works
FLY8HT now keeps itself current. Updates download in the background and install when you choose.
- Checks for a new version shortly after launch and every few hours while open.
- A persistent Restart Now / Later prompt, so nothing ever installs without you clicking Restart.
- Settings → General → Check for Updates shows its result inline, right under the button.
- The sidebar's Help & Docs button now opens the Help Center.

MilestoneSigned installers on every release, and an IDE-style Editor
Every release now publishes real installers, and the in-app Editor was rebuilt as a unified IDE layout.
- CI publishes installers for macOS, Windows and Linux on each release.
- The Editor tab redesigned around a file tree, tabs and a status bar.
- Fixed a user-data path regression and a CI race that created the same release three times.

v0.1.0Download FLY8HT from the web
The first public installers, a download page that always points at the latest release, and optional sign-in.
- FLY8HT-0.1.0.dmg, FLY8HT-Setup-0.1.0.exe and FLY8HT-0.1.0.AppImage published to GitHub Releases.
- The download page detects your operating system and reads the latest release automatically.
- Optional sign-in with GitHub, Google, Microsoft or email. It is never required to use the app.

MilestoneWindows and Linux support
FLY8HT now builds, tests and packages on macOS, Windows and Linux on every push.
- Native title bars on Windows/Linux, Ctrl-based shortcut labels, and Windows-safe editor links.
- Docker workspace mounts rewritten to handle Windows drive-letter paths.
- A three-OS CI matrix that caught real bugs on its first run, including a stale lockfile and a macOS build heap limit.
- The Projects list gained a live Session column showing what's running right now.

MilestoneOptional sign-in and a calmer window chrome
An app identity that's completely separate from GitHub repository access, plus a reworked sidebar.
- Sign in with Google, Microsoft, GitHub or email via Clerk. No credential is stored in FLY8HT's database.
- Cmd/Ctrl+B sidebar toggle, fullscreen-aware layout, and always-visible native window controls.
- Accessible, keyboard-friendly switches throughout Settings.

MilestoneLocal folders, private repos, and the Development Workspace
The biggest update yet: bring any project, connect GitHub, and develop with a live dev server.
- Open a folder already on your computer. It runs in place and is never copied.
- Connect GitHub with Device Flow to clone private repositories; tokens are encrypted at rest.
- A Development tab: dev-server mode with an embedded live preview, HMR status, and dependency-change detection.
- Git working tree: branches, commits, stash and safe pulls that refuse to overwrite uncommitted work.
- A built-in Monaco code editor, open-in-VS Code/Cursor, and a real dark mode.

MilestoneDockerfile projects and real monorepo fixes
Run projects outside the JavaScript ecosystem, and install workspaces from the right place.
- Automatic detection of a root Dockerfile, plus a manual Dockerfile mode for projects that keep theirs elsewhere.
- Monorepo installs now run from the workspace root, and a pinned packageManager version is honored via Corepack.
- A clear pre-flight message when Docker isn't installed or isn't running.
- Failed imports now always explain why, instead of silently resetting.

MilestoneA new name, and the first Docker-isolated build
Flyght became FLY8HT, and builds started running inside real containers.
- Container builds run as a non-root user with process and memory limits.
- Static-site detection no longer claims success when there's nothing to serve.
- A literal $PORT in your own start command is replaced with the port FLY8HT allocated.
- Guided, step-by-step import and configuration wizards, and toast notifications.

MilestoneBuild failures you can actually recover from
Failures are classified by real cause, with the exact fix one click away.
- Live elapsed time on every stage, and a Cancel button that really stops the process tree.
- Failure categories (missing package manager, install error, build error and startup error), each with its own recovery actions.
- A five-tab project workspace: Overview, Builds, Environment, Services and Repository.

MilestoneThe foundation
Paste a GitHub URL, and FLY8HT clones, detects, builds and runs it, all locally.
- Framework detection for Next.js, Vite, Node.js and static sites, with a compatibility verdict for everything else.
- npm, yarn, pnpm and bun, each verified against real repositories.
- Encrypted environment variables and secret redaction in every log line.
- A Repository Preview screen: see exactly what will run before anything is built.
